I've got a weird park/turn light problem on my 87 F150. I just replaced the left turn light bulb and now when I turn my park lights on the left light on the dash lights up. I checked the light and the park light is on but weak. Now for the weird thing. When I turn the signal light on and then turn it off the bulb out warning light on the dash goes out. Just as an aside the turn signals work fine on both sides. If I shut the lights off again and then turn them on it starts over again. First of all what bulb should I be using? I'm using an 1157k bulb now on both sides and the right side seems fine but like I say the left side is screwed up. Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out, I just happen to have a spare socket laying around so it it doesn't work I'll replace the whole thing and solder the wires to ensure a good connection. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Had the same exact problem in my 77. Turned out I didn;t put the bulbs in quite right and when you'd hit the parking lights it would energize the turn/brake lights or vice versa. I was buying 2357's and needed 1157's. It took weeks of swearing and buting parts till I figured out what the he!! was goin' on.
