Cold fingers and cold trailer hitches....
It's fairly pleasant up here right now. Managed to take the puppy for a 3 hr walk through some of the parks and trails around here. He's finally passed out - so I can get a little work done before he regains consciousness.

Make sure that puppy isn't exposed to canine viruses (yes, even in the wild) until it's had it's puppy immunization shots, and it's immune system develops somewhat.
Otherwise......
There's some BAAAADDD virii out there that will kill a puppy.
I'm always alarmed when people bring their new puppy to a dog park! What a cesspool of doggy germs THEY are! It's just an easy way to get their puppy killed.
Look up the effects of canine parvovirus and distemper. These are the prevalent two, but there are others, as well.....
