So- I've got your same deal- '84 F-150 with the 4.9L I6. I've got the parts on order and I'm getting ready to do the conversion. I went with an '80 stock carb, the duraspark dizzy, icm, coil, and I'll build my own harness with the connectors I ordered. The only real question I have is dealing with the smog holes on my engine. Any advice? I'm assuming since I'm not replacing the intake manifold that I'll have some stuff to cover up. Also, I'm curious about the valve cover gasket connections. I'm going to get a filtered oil fill cap but it sounds like I'll still have to run a PCV on the back hole to the carb???? Just want to make sure all my ducks are in line before I start turning wrenches. Thanks for the great write up, it's gospel I've been pouring over getting ready for my conversion.
