I finally got around to getting these Headrest DVD Screens installed. I will be taking a long trip during Thanksgiving so getting her ready for the kiddos. I liked the fact that no seperate unit(DVD player) has to be installed. One Screen has the player built in.
What kind did you end up going with? I couldn't tell from the screenshot but they don't look like the factory dvd headrests, nor the Rosen's. I can get the Rosen's for $1300 and install them myself but wanted to see other options.
Please post what brand and where you got them. I need a set for mine, but the problem is I have a KR and I have not made up my mind on what to do. I am still seaching options. Thanks for any info you can share.
The brand is Tview. That's what the local audio store carries. I shopped around and these were the best ones for the money. Paid $699 plus tax. Installation included. They are 9" screens which is a plus. They have a port for an SD card, USB port, AV input, Wired Headphone input, Wireless Headphone input, 2 remote controls etc. They are full replacement headrests. Picture quality is great.
These do look good. Quetion, if these are full replacement headrests/ what's really involved with the installation? My guess would be power to somewhere in the seat. Can the sound play through the truck speakers?

Yea, they have a built in FM modulator. Im sure the installation is not that difficult. I opted to have them install it to get the lifetime warranty on the installation. Took them about 2 hours.
Holding up great. Even my 2 year old know how to power them up and down and change the DVD. Awesome. Great investment. Kids leave you alone to enjoy he drive.
Looks good, but you said they are total replacements. The color in the 1st photo looks reddish on the "pleather" Doesn't look right? Is there a difference in the color compared to the seat itself. Maybe it's the camera.
