I would like to install one in my Avalanche as it sees night time off-road fishing excursions. Scared to death to drill the pillar!

Oh wait...I see you drilled the door and not the body. Is is hard wired to operate without the key on or...?

the wire goes under the black cap on the inside of the door (the cover behind the mirror that covers the 3 mirror nuts) it goes down the door and through the rubber door grommet with all the other door wires, i have it then go through the fire wall and i have it fused and to the battery. it grounds itslef being bolted on the door. there is just a little switch that your thumb clicks whenever you want it on or off.. yes i did go through the door, i didnt want to weaken the a-pillar.. ( or drill through it!!)

So the Unity light mounts to the Door? Not the A-pillar? I have always put Unitys on my Jeeps and now I want them on my Excursion but I have an ARB Snorkel on the drivers side A-pillar. I wonder if it (Spotlight) would fit.

Oops! I should have red the replys, I was to busy looking at the pictures getting exited. I see that you answered my question already. One other, is that Unity mount intended for the door or did you just want to stay away from the A-pillar.
Thanks
Corey

no it is meant for the door, unity actually segjests the door rather than the A pillar, not too sure why, but im sure it is because it weakens the A pillar. by the way, KICK *** EXCURSION!!!!!

Of course something like this would be a good alternative (tho expensive).
