Spent probably an extra two hours on the return, all sitting in stop-and-go traffic on I-10.
At the top of the grade that starts down into Indio things came to a stand-still, then 5mph max until almost all the way to the bottom. Skid marks indicated a trailer had pushed it's tow vehicle all over the road with an increasing swerve that culminated in a roll-over of everything in the center median.
Ah..., let's be on our way! Nope! It slowed right down again, and didn't get moving until past Cabazon. The Outlet Mall traffic was the reason for it all, and I got to get into the fray, as Marge wanted to see the Brighton outlet store. I circled the parking lot for twenty minutes, and sure-enough, she came out with three items. "Christmas gifts", she claims!
I'm home about twelve hours from departure. Gonna sleep well tonight!

The evening ending a holiday will always be brutal along the West I-10. We're glad you made it safely.

Trip was good. The trailer was good, except the landing gear stopped working as we were unhitching. Fortunately it worked with the remote control, but would not with the switch on the outside. So I've got to schedule a warranty visit.
We left for home early enough that traffic was not an issue.
