CAMBER alignment bushings

Hey everyone I took my truck to get a front end alignment done last week and the tech told me that the camber is out. Currently the driver side is set to 1* and the passenger side is set to 1.4*

I was told I want around 4*

The truck is a 1997 F350 Dually with the 7.3 2wd with no suspension modifications.

I only see bushings that go to 2.5*

Is 4* to much???

Take it somewhere else. He may have meant .4* ? That would be my guess.

Here is the spec sheet I got... perhaps I'm getting camber mixed up with caster?

I see it says 98 for the year... just saw that. Wonder if that would cause an issue......

I would certainly quiz them about what they entered your truck as in the computer. And as long as your truck doesn't pull one way or another and the steering wheel returned to the center well I would leave that alignment as is. You will be spending about $150-200 for them to do the bushings.

that is kind of where I'm at with this. It drives good except when you hit a road with a lot of washboarding. It will shake in the front. I thought it was due to incorrect camber/caster.

I would put the bushings in myself since I'm doing brakes this weekend. I also have lifetime front end alignment so I will not have to pay ever for this truck.

The problem with putting the bushings in your self is that it still needs an alignment done. So if plan to bring it right over to be aligned your fine but if you plan to drive it you could do damage to your tires.

Now when you talk about the shake is it just a quick shake or does it get violent until you slow way down?

If its just a quick shake its probably not due to your alignment. If its violent (what I call a Death Wobble) then increasing the caster may help.

Yes, I'd install them and then go directly to the shop to get it aligned.

This has been a long fighting battle. Feels like the front end will fall apart at times if the road is really bumpy and your going fast. Far better then what it use to be.

Everything in the front end is new except the steering gear box.
