2003 Ford Excursion

With fresh looks, a minty Eddie Bauer interior, and low mileage, this Excursion is a great deal.

Ford Excursion owners are a different breed. They’re not afraid of tight parking or high gas prices. They’re only afraid of running out of space for their family and their stuff!

If you’re that special kind of person, nothing will ever be able to replace the Excursion. Sold only from 2000 to 2005 (2006 in Mexico), the Ford Excursion was the biggest, baddest SUV ever produced. It’s developed a loyal legion of fans and admirers in the years since.

One Excursion owner on our forums started updating his 2003 to create the 2015 that Ford never built. Starting with a 2003 Eddie Bauer with a 6.0 liter diesel, a clean body, and a minty interior, Ford Truck Enthusiasts forum member Shurik74 began slowly updating the body to modernize his dream ride.

Sadly, the owner is selling it due to health concerns, and has it listed on our very own Ford Truck Enthusiasts Marketplace.

The renovated 2003 Ford Excursion Eddie Bauer 6.0L Diesel 4WD features a complete 2015 front-end conversion, as well as a rear bumper, mirrors, and running boards from the same year. It really does look factory, and Shurik74 paid attention to detail. The fenders feature custom Excursion badges, and the turn signals integrated into the mirrors actually work!

There’s more than just window dressing on this truck, though. Despite having just 87,000 miles, this truck was treated to a fresh water pump, ARP head studs, and a custom oil cooler. The drivetrain of this beast should be more or less bulletproof at this point, meaning the new owner can enjoy those updated looks well into the next decade and beyond.

The seller is including a few other goodies to further update this Excursion, including a dashboard conversion and LED taillights.

With a life spent exclusively in Colorado and California, you’re unlikely to find a cleaner, lower mileage Excursion. With the updated exterior, this one is truly one of a kind.
