FTE Forum 2018 Lariat

Our members light up the forums with hot shots of their new rides.

With so many sales and incentives, this is the time of year when many are taking the plunge and getting that new Ford truck of their dreams. What’s better than that first ride in your brand-new pickup? The new features, high-tech upgrades, the clean odometer, and, oh yeah, the new-car smell. It’s no wonder that our Ford Truck Enthusiasts forum members were so excited to show pics of their beautiful new (or new to them) purchases. From what we can tell from these pictures, 2018 is going to be a helluva good year.

Shortride got the party started by showing pics of his new ride (pictured right).

“My new 2018 F-150 Platinum FX4 was delivered yesterday and will be detailed and ready for pick up on Wednesday,” writes Shortride. “The 2018’s have a new style Sirius/XM roof antenna. My new 2018 3.5L Ecoboost is rated at 375 HP and 470 lb. ft. of torque which is pretty decent for a turbo V6. My truck has a lot of get-up and go with in the sport setting.”

Lebowskii Added his personal style to his badass red Ranger.

“Shortride obviously has a top of the line truck with a $65k window sticker and at the other end of the spectrum is my 2018 XL longbed, which I got for my 2011 Ranger and just under $14k cash. (The sticker was $30,800.),” posts Lebowskii. “It came with a $2k option package that includes power windows, mirrors and locks, cruise, upgraded stereo with CD, and more. I removed the plastic hubcaps and painted the wheels black to make it a little different and of course the Yosemite Sam mudflaps add to the value too.”

Likewise, Phoenix-based member Storage_man proudly posted about his 2018 F-150 XLT, which he picked up last August to replace his 2006 SuperDuty XLT SuperCab Short Bed. Upgrades to Storage_man’s F-150 include adding Du-Ha underseat storage, a BedRug bed/tailgate protector, 2-inch leveling kit, and a BakFlip hard bed cover.

Jimmy-six Is planning to a little work to get his truck exactly as he wants it.

“Ordered Lariat, hard tonneau now installed, Builtrite rear seat old down kit, and a Ford Performance Oil Separator installed,” he writes in the forum thread. “Purchased a stainless dual exhaust kit with Flowmaster and need to get off my butt and install it. My excuse is I’m 73. Even tho I haven’t had our 5.0 very long I already like it better than the 13 3.5 EB it replaced.”

2020 Is loving his new truck, and will hopefully recover from that cost soon.

“Just picked this up Saturday. I love it but I haven’t bought a new vehicle for a while and am still in sticker shock”

We thank our members for their great pictures and an interesting discussion. We look forward to seeing more!
