Famous Ford Raptor SEMA Star Is for Sale
Two-time SEMA Show featured vehicle was a part of Ford’s R&D for aftermarket parts.
Does anyone remember what life was like before the Raptor rolled up to the showroom floor? We had a truck for everything, from job sites to drag strips, but nothing off the assembly line that could tear it up on the dirt.
Now, you could have one of the first Raptors around, a 2010 Raptor SVT prerunner we happened upon the other day on the Race Dezert website, and it will blow you away with its performance and its history.
This red-and-black Raptor SVT was originally used by Ford to develop aftermarket performance parts for the off-road pickup, and was twice a SEMA Show featured vehicle, hosting a number of customizations for many builders and suppliers.
In its prerunner form, the Raptor SVT comes with its 5.4-liter V8, which made 310 horses and 365 lb-ft of torque back in its day. It retains its stock six-speed automatic, which was rebuilt, and it rides on a set of 17-inch wheels wrapped in 37-inch off-road tires.
The custom interior includes a pair of racing buckets with matching harnesses, which can be swapped out for the stock buckets when not pre-running the stages. The race radio and GPS will also keep you and your navigator from getting lost on the way to the stages, or driving on them.
On the street or off the beaten path, you can’t beat a Raptor SVT as cool as this one. The smile it will leave on your face will last for days.
