Meet the Original 411 Horsepower SVT Raptor F-150
Throwback segment features a Ford Motor Company video that helped to introduce the first SVT Raptor F-150 with the 6.2L V8 engine. Delivering 411 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque, this beefy mill is exactly what the Raptor needed to drive like a proper performance pickup, whereas the previous 5.4L mill fell a bit short.
Best of all, Ford didn’t want to just improve the power output for the Raptor, adding features such as hill descent control, a front facing camera and a Torsen differential – all of which combined with the Fox high performance shocks and the other suspension modifications to make the Raptor the most off-road capable half ton truck ever.
The new SVT Raptor is due to hit showrooms in the next year or so, but in the meantime, enjoy this video of the previous generation Raptor playing in the mud.
