This 1978 Ford Bronco Is a Brown Beauty

There aren’t a whole lot of 1978 Broncos around these days, and the ones that are, typically need major work. Therefore, the ones in good shape bring big money, but only if you can find them. Then there are the drop dead gorgeous Broncos like this super brown 1978.

This particular 1978 Ford Bronco has been restored, even though it only has 89,000 original miles on the odometer. Brown is a color that only a few can love, but it sure does look fantastic on the big SUV. The bumpers have been re-chromed, and BF Goodrich tires have been mounted on the original wheels with the original hub caps. Clearly, the owner has taken meticulous care of it.

Power comes from the original 400 V8 motor that has been rebuilt and bored. It has a slightly larger cam, long tube headers, and dual-exhaust to bring power up from stock. The C6 automatic transmission has likewise been rebuilt, as have the brakes. As a result, this is a daily-driving beauty.

Rancho shocks have been added to the suspension, and this is an original power steering and power brake truck. The interior is pure ’70s, with the Ranger’s wood grain package and even some cool old-school floor mats.
