Rust Hole Repair

How much would it cost for a shop to fix this rust hole? It located passenger side on the side of the bed by bumper.

you going to fix the rest of the body damage as well, or not? if not then why bother with a body shop doing the work and spending a lot of money? you can "repair" the rust hole yourself. just sand back until you get to solid sheet metal, and use some fiberglass to cover the opening. when it sets up you can then hit it with some paint to hide the repair.

if you are going to fix the damage, then you can budget about $500 for the total repair, less paint.

Dont waste your time with a patch panel if you're up north in the salt belt.

Save your money, time, and effort and do a whole bedside.

And PLEASE do not slap a piece of fiberglass over it, or try to fill it with bondo/glaze/filler.

I had a hole in mine in the same spot, and a body shop welded in a new patch panel for $750. about 3 years later the paint was starting to bubble where it was welded together.

Personally, I would just wait until you can get the whole thing fixed the way you want. Otherwise you will just be throwing money away.
