Erich Merkle, Ford’s numbers guru, told The Detroit News that sales of Ford’s performance vehicles are up 30% this year compared to this time in 2014. That’s great news for buyers as well as for Ford itself.
Earlier today Ford announced that a few of their vehicles were going to be recalled and need to head back to the dealer. Two groups of vehicles were recalled, including the 2010-2011 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan, plus 13 Ford F-650s. Yes, 13.

In the grand scheme of things, Ford wasn’t affected as badly by the Takata airbag fiasco as other manufacturers, but still required Ford to recall over 1.5 million vehicles.
