Thanks!!! I am proud to let people know that I have a 300 6 in my truck. So if it does quite sound like a v8 and long as its some what close, I'm not too overly worried about it. I just don't want my truck to sound like a rice burner lol. I wanted to duel my truck mostly for looks. I think another big tip come out at a 45 on the other side would look really cool. If it kept the same sound as it is now with duels I would still be happy. (Single in duel out). Would that be possible?
I understand your desire to run dual tailpipes. These trucks look mean with dual pipes running out the back.
Have you heard my truck? I'm not sure you have. Dual out tailpipes. I'll post a couple videos for you to hear. You can decide for yourself if you like it or not.
I still say a single pipe would sound better. You get that "airplane" sound when you run duals on a six, even if they are just dual pipes, not dual mufflers.
It wouldn't sound BAD but I believe it would simply sound BETTER with one pipe.
Here you go buddy!
This was the best setup I ever had. Sounded like a cammed V-8 down low. Once you got her revved up it sounded like a Cummins diesel. I loved it. The only problem was a big one; it was so loud in the cab it was quite litterally painfull to drive the truck.
thought i would put em here for referance. What do yall think, She has a clifford intake Holley 390 headman headers and a crane cam. Plus DS II ignition \
I just str8 piped mine lastnight. I like the idle, but when I get on it, everyone within a mile knows it. If a Harley can have drag pipes, I can too.
It's a Hedman hedder to dual 2", then from the muffler delete section the tail pipes are 1.75", and dump out just behind the axle. ‪Ford 300, 274 cam, straight pipe‬‏ - YouTube
Here are a couple videos of mine, first one is running, obviously, and the second is just parked idle.
