Before the demise of the beloved 4.9L engine, Ford had several things in the prototype development stage [i.e. 2 barrel carburetor on a log intake manifold, variable displacement, crossflow head; turbo charged].

Oh, what might have been!

No longer in a Ford truck, but it is a 1984 300 L6!. Open header, 540 Isky cam, Harland Sharp roller rockers, Flat top pistons, Holley 650.
I have been running it on C12. Its a little on the loud side, but has a really nice idle. I only have a few runs on it, so not really finished tuning yet.

 

I am going to have to make my engine "unreliable" lol
