I am wanting to remove the windows from the door, including the vent window. I think I can figure out the vent window, and thought the door would be easy. I can get the window off the track and free but just cant seem to get in the right position to pull out through the access panel. is there a special trick? I want to pull them so I can do a really nice tint job. tried it with them in and well its not so good. hahaha
thanks for any info,
Shane
If you have not done so, suggest removing the division bar screws. There are 2 at the top, 1 near the window handle on inside door, and the screw where the division bar meets the vent handle. Should be total of the 4 screws and division bar should be loose. This should allow you to move division bar forward where you can rotate the window on end and remove out from panel. Getting the division bar can be a task, but suggest removing and replace felt if needed, as long as you have gotten that far. The vent window will only be held by couple screws and can easily removed.
Thanks, Idid take out the bottom two bolts/nuts and thescrew up by the crank, but couldnt get it out so I guess I missed a screw. I will have to try again this weekend. thanks again

The only other screw that may be remaining is the one where vent window handle locks onto the the division bar. Sometimes hidden from view and need to peel corner of rubber back. Usually rusted and difficult to remove. Try and save if possible. So to remove division bar, at the top of door jamb there are 2 screws about 1" apart. Inside the cab, there is a screw that sets alone above the 4 screws that secures the window regulator to the door. Lastly, the 2 small nuts, and bolts that secure bottom of the division bar.
Fortunately i do not have to make sense of these instructions. Hope it helps. There are only 2 screws remaining should you decide to remove vent window.
Good luck,
dave

Ok, couldnt wait. went out and removed woor window and vent window. it was a little tough. the vent window didnt want to pop out very easy. probably because I couldnt get the devider bar out without removing the upper liner on the door frame. aither way I got it out thanks to great info from everyone here. and got one side tinted, cleaned and lubed up. thanks again.

Sorry to hear turned out to be such a task. Ideally, the division bar would have shifted enough to allow you to rotate the window and remove.
It sounds like you are using a film to tent windows. Was considering, but had already replaced the glass and weatherstripping, not inclined to go thru it again. Do you think it possible the vent window can be tented without removing.
well thats how I tinted it the first time and it came out pretty good. the main problem was that there was so much dirt behind the rubber, when I would wet apply the film it would pull dirt out making mud and not allowing the tint to stick on the edges. plus I am an absolute perfectionist. so I couldnt have a few bubbles. LOL. and also it was easy to get the window out by shifting the divider bar, it was the wing window that I had problems getting out. good luck on your windows if you try it. the main thing is patience and no distractions. thanks again
