Body mounts
Anyone ever get a clunking noise from bad body mounts? Ive looked all over the truck and cannont find anything loose. The only thing i see is 4 of the 8 body mounts are deteriorating. Ive even removed the shocks, sumo springs, tail gate and spare tire but still get a hollow clunk when the drivers rear tire hits bumps. The rear most body mount on that side is one of the ones that bad.

I have a new pop/squeak when turning or driving over a bad spot on the highway, even turning left at slow speeds in a drive through will cause a clunk but only sometimes. I cannot figure out what it is but I know it's right rear area. It's not shocks and it's not the air bags on the rear leafs. I have tried to reproduce it one day when the issue was the loudest with someone listening outside but failed. My next approach is to drive around with a go pro mounted on the frame to at least capture the noise more clearly than I can in the cab. I've had the issue for over a month, it might drive me insane mostly because I have no idea what specifically is doing this and not because of the noise. The clunk/pop makes sense but can failing body mounts squeak? My cab has never been removed.

Javee, yours sounds like abs. My truck has a knock under my feet when the nose dips into a turn. Not sure if it is end links or a cab mount. My cab has never been removed either.

1911fan - How old is the truck and how many miles? You say the knocking occurs when the left rear wheel hits a bump, but not when any other wheels do? A buddy of mine with a 2008 CCLB SRW F350 had the bed rails rust through underneath that support crossways under the bed. You may check the integrity of the bed structure and see if anything is rusted through or otherwise loose.
