I was driving to a job this morning with my truck loaded with tile for a job and it just died.
It has power to the lights, radio, etc. But when I try to start it it does not even crank and it has no fuel pressure on the gauge and the pump is no running. It is as if the truck has no power.
When it died is was like I turned the key off and it just stopped.

Let's start basic. Did you check the battery terminals on each battery? Make sure a terminal end didn't corrode off or has a bad connection.
Yes I did and they are all tight and clean.
I am going out to check fuses when it cools down a bit. ( 95* in the shade )
It was just as if I turned the key off and now I don't even get a click when I turn the key. The fuel pump does not even come on so it must be electrical of some sort.
OK I found the problem.
The dipstick tube was rubbing the back of the plug for the mass air flow sensor and caused a dead short.
The truck is running fine but I do need to get a new plug.
Thanks for the help guys.
Interesting! I didn't know that the MAF sensor circuit was on F2.22. I guess I need to read more of Sean's attachments (member Yahiko posts a LOT of wiring diagrams)!

Glad you found it.
I even do requests when asked, When it comes to requests Pm me to
get me to look into the thread.
Also as an after thought I added the 2009 Pigtail Catalog for you.
It's very handy to have when getting plugs. Also if you do have to
buy a plug try both Ebay and Amazon before going to Ford to
help save money and somestimes that is the only way to find the item.
