C6 kick down rod

anybody have one? I never notice it wasnt there,i need the rod(tube?) and clip's that fasten it to the carb and tranny,i have the 351m. THANKS

I don't have one but just so you know, not having the rod on a C6 isn't critical. All you lose is the kickdown to passing gear. It won't damage the tranny.

I also did a search and couldn't find any dealer or obsolete parts supplier that had one.
Kickdown rod '77 F100 350 w/ 351/400 & C6
D7TZ-7A187-B

Snap ring, 2 required
97409-S8
13/64" ID X 17/32" OD X 1/32" Thick.

I inadvertently left mine off a few years ago . No ill effect,and I barely notice it . It sits on a shelf in my shop. One day

Ther should be literally millions of these in junk yards everywhere. If "Cash for Clunkers " didnt hit your local yard too hard

thanks guy's,i know it wont hurt anything not being,but it would be nice to have when i need it. Thanks for the spec's,i may just make one.

They are nice to have but an quick fix is to turn your modulator in 1/2 turn. This will give you more vacuum response when needed for kick down plus give you just a bit later shift and also firm up the shift. If 1/2 turn doesnt do it you can go a full turn but if its tight at all stop or you will rupture the modulator. Since the 351 likes a little more RPMS you will probably find a little more power then you had.

are you talking about the taking the vacum hose off and the screw inside?

yes the vacuum line at the trans. Inside the modulator there is a flat head screw. turn it in 1/2 turn and put the vacuum line back on and take it for a drive.
