kick down

i have a 70 f250 cs with a 390 and c6 trans. i have no kick down rod and im trying to find one but cant. what years will work becouse all i can find are a bunch of 77 and up trucks at the junk yard. does it matter as long as it has a c6 trans all the others im finding have 351m with a c6 wil that work?

It may require a bit of bending but a kickdown rod from 351M - C6 combo should work.You will have to make sure it can travel stop to stop without binding.Hope this helps.

This is the only one the parts catalog shows. The 1969 and earlier rods are different, as are the 1973 and later rods.

I'm putting a Lockar cable on mine. As soon as I get it hooked up and verify it works you can have it if you'll pay the shipping. Could be a couple more weeks though before I'm ready to give it up.
