Working on my 97' PSD the other night and noticed that the valley on the engine was damp, started looking around and noticed that around where the HPOP mounts was moist, not sure how bad of leak it is, didn't get to in depth as I was in hurry to get truck back and running. Not sure on where I should go from here, any advice would be appreciated. Also I have pan gasket for E40D transmission as it is leaking, has the original ford trans pan still in it, would it be a smart idea to replace the original pan with a high capacity pan? Thanks for any input.
Mine was leaking and i did hpop gasket and hpop resivour gasket also.its right there at hpop mt. also resealed hpo lines and fittings..my garage floor under my 325k truck gets no drips...
I don't see how fuel could get that far up front to make the hpop moist, but I'll check over everything really close. I've got 281000 on it and the oil pan gasket is bad, pan already has drain plug in it.

I have read in several forums that a bigger pan is not a good idea in our OBS. , so dont expend money on that.
