I started seeing some oil spots on the garage floor. I crawled under and it looks like it may be coming from the plug, but there is some oil around the pan gasket
try a bottle of the engine stop leak it might fix your problem, it swells the gaskets, if not then i'd put a new pan gasket in it, you have to lift the engine like 6in up in order to drop the pan enough to clean it out and slide a new gasket in, i wasn't able to change the pan when i changed the gasket
You do not have to lift the engine up to replace the pan GASKET. I have replaced two oil pan gaskets so far and never had to lift the engine. I wouldn't use stop leak, either. I'm not a believer in putting stop leak into engines or radiators. If it leaks, replace the gasket.
To find an oil leak, you really need to start with a clean engine. If you have an old, dirty engine covered with oil it's going to be tough to find the source of the leak.

how did you do it with out lifting the engine? i couldn't get the pan down enough to pull clear the oil pump with the gasket with out loosening the motor mounts and lifting the engine
i've had bad luck with radiator stop leak gumming up an engine but the oil stop leak is fine i've torn down a couple engines that used it and they had normal gunk build up in the oil passages but not any more than normal. it's really opinion but i like barrs engine stop leak
I didn't remove the pan, just dropped it down far enough to fish the old gasket out and put the new one in place. You have to use the felpro one piece gasket, too, it makes the job a lot easier.
From what I have seen it is hard to say who makes Ford OEM gaskets, I think they use the cheapest gaskets that meet their specifications at the time. When I replaced the lower intake manifold gasket on the Explorer in my signature I used Felpro gaskets for the upper and lower intake manifold and valve covers. The valve cover gaskets were almost certainly Felpro by the looks of things, but I'm positive the manifold gaskets were not.
Using a full synthetic diesel oil of the proper weight will often times swell gaskets and seals. I know that it might sound crazy, but it works. Try some Shell Rotella and see for yourself.
