Good, but it makes you wonder why the dealership missed it when
they had it the first time.

5w40 is pretty common for a synthetic diesel engine oil. Mobil Delvac 1, Rotella T6, etc. are all 5w40.

The thinner mix really helps HEUI injectors in the cold, with their little parts needing to move unabated by syrup.
