I have a 2011 F150 4x4 crew Ecoboost with max tow package. I had a transmission pump failure at 1000 miles which required a transmission replacement. Now I am noticing rough idle mainly at start-up while engine is cold and outside temp is in the 70-80's F. With the rough idle the whole truck will shudder and vibrate slightly and the tach will be moving up and down. Also my mileage sucks 15.5 mpg no matter where or how I'm driving. I heard of some injector problems with the Ecoboost engines. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same issues or has any info related to these problems. Any info greatly appreciated.
There seems to be a couple of guys on here that are having some ongoing issues with MPG's, transmissions and suck, but it seems that most are very happy, such as myself.
I'm sorry that I cannot give you any precise solution to your problem. It appears as if your truck may be suffering from the "acceptable tolerances" of mechanical items. Not much in today's world is 100% bulletproof, and every mechanical bit is built with some tolerance of failure and its failure rate, as long as it's not often, becomes acceptable by the manufacturers. It's unfortunate that we as consumers have to deal with this, but thus is the reason for warranties, lemon laws, etc.
I know it SUCKS to be without your new truck, that you spent good money on, to return to the dealer with on going problems. The fact of the matter is that your dealer, and Ford, need to properly document these items/occurances so that if the sample of the population with issues grows, they can address the matter accordingly (i.e.: a recall).
I don't necessarily agree with this, but it's just the nature of manufacturing and big business. They all (meaning manufacturers) budget/account for some failure on a small scale.
Keep a level temperment when you head back to the dealer, it should ease your experience, and maybe they'll be more willing to address your issue quickly as well.
Sorry for the woes, I hope they can address and solve the issues at hand.

Fantastic post Chandler! i can't rep ya as I'm in jail but I would like to add one very small detail.
To the OP: Verify how the dealer is documenting your case. If the dealer keeps this complaint open for each visit, then it's considered by Ford as being one visit / complaint. Talk to the service writer and ask him/her to document this as meticulously as possible. This will benefit you in the future.

Thanks
I'd check to see if the dealer can reflash your PCM.
One thing that I always do and recommend other to do is request a copy of the shop ticket that lists all of the repairs.
When a scheduled service, warranty repair or installation of accessories at the dealer are performed a record of that is accessible by us on our online OWNER website. The only thing I don't like about this internet service is the Ford service departments typically does not include all of the detailed information after a service or repair.
