Yesterday after work I started my truck and noticed it had a rough idle. When I put it in drive and hit accelerator it had no power and was sputtering while white smoking out the exhaust in unison with me hitting the accelerator. Everything was "OK" when I ran a systems check and no trouble lights were on. I put it in park and tapped the accelerator a couple of times and it blew out white smoke and cleared up to a smooth idle and ran fine the 20 mile trip home. This morning same thing, rough idle, no power. In park I tapped the accelerator and it cleared up after blowing white smoke.
I have a DPF-R 4.0 programmer with DPF delete installed. It has been on over 8,000 miles with no trouble.
Any ideas?
would you call it smoke or steam? In really humid or wet conditions my truck blows white steam until I build a little boost to clear the water out of the intercooler. It will blow a bunch of white smoke/steam for 5-10 seconds and then run just fine.

Definitely smoke, steam dissipates quicker. Not to mention I could smell it too.
