Happens a lot on these fords. try tapping it, gently, more blaster, more tapping and patiance. It will come out, if you accidently break it ,then get the big hammer out. Then use some no-seize lubricant on it whenyou put it back in. ..........P.S. some guys use heat from a torch, but I never did like that way unless I planned on replacing the dist. In that case then get the BFH.

50/50 mix acetone and trans fluid as a penetrant (or Kano Kroil), and use no heat greater than a heat gun (or high-wattage hair dryer). Patience and some time needed here- you're dealing with dissimilar metal corrosion, which is nearly effective as welding the two together....
Sometimes you can take an old fan belt and wrap it in such a way it won't slip and use it like the wrench that ' jfive' was talking about.I never was able to make it work. Lube and patience is what it takes most of the time .
the fanciest of wrenches, pipe, band, chain, belt, rubber strap, etc. aren't going to do a bit of good if you don't break the dissimilar metal corrosion weld. You'll break the distributor casting before it even thinks of turning. BTDT.
Patience, penetrant soak it, patience, heat it a little, soak it, patience, continue as required........
Mine did this to I sprayed tons off pb blaster and a hit with a rubber hammer. now when ever I change the oil I pour a small amount on the block and dist area.
i got bolt loose but cannot turn distributor to adjust timing,i have tried pb blaster and wd40 ,is still froze up ,any ideas?
I just noticed there is another thread running right now with the same problems and solutions. If you haven't saw it yet,I suggest you take a look at it. JIM
