stuck distributor
interesting.
in a worst case situation. pull the oil pan and oil pump and push out. i have done this before. it was the end of the distributor flared on end due to a twisted oil pump shaft and flared the end of distributor in my situation. good luck!
Got it out. I already had the sump off, so I just went ahead and drove it out. I was trying not to destroy it, but as it turns out, it was pretty well shot. Had to come out, because I just put a crank, timing set, and oil pump into it, and needed to be able to prime the oil pump.
I hear ya there, trying to get the money up to do my other motor, and getting the parts together for it is killing me. First thing's first, though: Machine work. As far as the dizzy goes, I dropped the new one in after priming, touched the key, and she took right off like I had never even had the motor apart. Couldn't get that lucky again if I tried, lol.
