Hi everyone I have a 2004 f 250 and can not get any power at the hook up. I can not find a fuse box under the hood did they change this from a 2001 mdl? It used to have a brake controler that the previous owner took out by cutting the pigtail to the controler. Thanks for any help.
There is no fuse panel under the hood on a 2004. There are a couple of small relay boxes there.
All of the fuses are in the Central Junction Box under the steering wheel. You can download your owner's manual with a fuse box diagram and descriptions from here...
It would be odd, though, for there to be NO power at any of the pins at the trailer connector. Each pin has a different fuse, for the most part. So it would be unusual for them to have all failed. I would more suspect that the ground at the trailer connector is bad. I would check it and the fuses as well.
we have used a volt meter at the pins even unhooked at first plug and checked there with no power there either. The trailer is new and the ground appears good and all lights worked when tested. we brought it home with a lawn mower battery hooked to trailer alone and lights worked.

Were you checking between the ground pin (on the truck) and the other pins? My point being is that if you were and the ground pin was bad you'd get no reading. Find a good known ground point and check with it.
