I had a friend hook up my plow and he hooked the controller up to constant hot power therefore the controller is always lit AND always drawing down the batteries when it is plugged in.
Where is an easy spot to tie into key on power under the dash, prefferably near the brake controller/go pedal? Should this be hooked to constant power or key on?
Thanks!
That would make sense. They don't give you a ton of wire, but I can always splice a connecter chunk on. The other thing is you can test fuses with the test light IN A HURRY! It was a high of about 5 today and this is a driveway project so I don't want to be slow
The controller doesn't draw enough by itself to worry about, unless you leave it sitting for like months.
Unless yours has been chopped up. Normally the controller gets its power through the wiring harness for the plow which is connected directly to the batteries.
