Question boost controller

I have a 96 turbo powerstroke. I bought a boost controller from lowes and want to hook it up in my truck so I can up the boost. I have all the gauges and stuff hooked up in my truck so I can see what I am pushing. Anybody know where I hook the boost controller at? I cant find a line coming off the turbo.

boost controller

There is nothing to hook a boost controler up to on the 94-97 PSD's.

The way most turbos are set up on gas motors there is a valve on the exhaust side of the turbo that is opened and closed according to boost pressure. A boost contollers usually work by fooling the system so that the valve on the exhaust side of the turbo stays closed until higher boost is reached.

There is no such set up on the early PSD's. Therefore there is nothing to hook the boost controler up too. The turbo on these trucks can provide plenty of air, but boost is limited by the amount of fuel the computer tells the injector to inject. The only way to raise the boost is to burn more fuel. And more fuel comes from putting a new chip on the computer or adding a propane system.
