Electric brake controllers have nothing to do with the adjustable pedals. The controller plugs into a prewired connector under the dash at the right side of the steering column--all Ford trucks since 1997? have the plugin when you get the tow package, and many of them have it anyway. Its a snap to hook one up.
Thank you for the info. I pland on ordering a 04 Lariat LE so I guess it will have the wire plug for the Prodigy. Does Prodigy have a web site? If so what is the address. Where can I get the best price for the Prodigy. Take care.
A lot of guys have bought the Prodigy off of eBay for about $100 + shipping. I got mine at http://www.brakecontroller.com/. They have them for $125 with free second day shipping.
I got mine at www.brakecontroller.com, too. Only I was even lazier and bought the Ford OEM wiring harness for it ($8.50), so I didn't have to splice any wires. Just two screws and plugged it in. The harness is only about 3ft long, so it depends on where you're going to mount it whether it will do you any good. I put mine under the dash in the little inset below the cubby, so I only actually needed about 1ft.
