You are 200% correct that those people have gotten some high mileage. But remember this, these motors have been out since 2011, these people are obviously using their trucks to haul for a living. And that makes complete since to own a diesel(2-3 mpg more). I have no doubt that the if the same amount of people where using 6.2's to haul for a living, that their would be some cases of gas trucks with that many miles. The fact is, no one is dumb enough to haul that many miles and lose a few mpg, and if they are, they want stay in business long enough to put those kind of miles on a truck, making those types of decisions. I have an older friend who has a business hauling boats, and has been successful in it for decades. He got bit by the 6.0, so he ran 7.3's for well over a million miles. The 6.4 was even worse, so some of those 6.0's he bought, got straightened out, and he put upwards of a million on those trucks. Today, he has gone to roll back medium duty international trucks, because of all the problems with ALL the newer light truck diesels. He still has a few 7.3's, and several 6.0 pick ups, and has dramatically reduced his fleet and contracts out a lot. He started out with a 3/4 ton 351 in the mid 80's, and is now wealthy.

Oh, and besides that, it looks photo shopped.

It is photoshopped.
If the key is on to show that the display shows other items to.
Notice its not on.
But its one way to show a high mileage truck.
Also not mention of amount spent on repairs, or if even the original engine at all.
If the original i bet the bills for repair are ultra high!

Nice try but it's not photoshopped. You simply just have to open the door and the mileage displays for a few seconds. In addition very little repairs to the engine/transmission was performed.

Still waiting for a high mileage 6.2 picture....

Like I said, the motors have only been out since 2011, you are not going to find many gas OR diesels with those miles. There is a member in this section that had 350k on his with no internal work, and that was probably 6 months ago. Could be pushing 400k now. Exactly what is your point? For an extra $8500, it should last longer. But the sad reality is, percentage wise, they don't without some type of major expensive repair. My boss is on his second 6.7 truck. Both have left him stranded. This last time was on i75 between Chattanooga and Atlanta in 96 degree heat with 3 draft horses in the trailer. You think he wasn't wanting 6.2 at that point? He's already said his next truck will be a 6.2.

This is a Common 6.2 thread and has nothing to do with the 6.7 motor and the gas motor guys on this form don't want to here how great your 6.7 is.

We all make our own choice on what we drive so have some respect for other members and stop posting about your 6.7.

The moderator asked that I stop posting about my 6.7 PSD in the 6.2 section while he allows this section to bash all others.

I ask you to stop posting about your 6.7 in the Common 6.2 problems, if you want to start your own thread about your 6.7 feel free to do so.

Well, not problems..

my 2012, 145,000 miles and 4,200 hours. and 600 idle hours.

A daily work truck,, not a long haul truck.
