idk guys. the tires are the big winnar for me, and they look to be ****. it's been on teh list for some time as well, which leads me to believe there must be a catch. and there is teh possibility its a balljoint axle. i might call on it later this week, but then i gotta figure a way to get a truck from wisconsin to illinois. me no have trailer or tow rig.
we gotta see. i found some gems today, like a 79 d60 w/new u-joints, brakes, extended stainless lines, and 5.13 gears for $1k, which is a big score for around here. i'm not so worried about a rear axle, they are everywhere, but if i get the 5.13 d60 i'm looking dor a 14 bolt since my sterling 4.56's would then be worthless to me since they wouldn't match and i don't have a sterling laying around. and that brings up the late model 14 bolt with disk brakes i found for $250, yep disks and cheap killer strength for $250. wish i already had the cash in hand. having the parts to work with is half the effing battle for me.
why would i want your bronco???? it never seems to run right for more than a couple days and i am almost certain nothing will ever get the stank of all the man on man action that has happened in it out.
i thought half the battle for you was staying sober long enough to get any work done??
this is true, i either drink or work, not real good with having a "few" while i work on vehicles. texting with the yellow f150 guy right now to see whats up. hope the tires are semi ok, if so i'm in, almost got teh wife convinced that i "need it"
hi-steer kingpin front, no pics of tires and when i asked if it was leafs or coils up front he said it was "hot leads" whatever that means, ad isn't 100% laser specific if its leaf sprung or coils, just wanted to be sure.
it's a good deal i guess, but this guy is gonna have to get some better pics and info before i'm willing to set up a truck and trailer for me to drive 6 hours one way on a whim. need to be pretty sure i'm getting what i want, cuz i hate long drives to new places for nothing.
i used to have the same problem. working on the vehicles cut into my drinking time.
i was getting too many complaints from Lynchburg about the lack of deliveries to my area, so i decided to stop working.
i'll tell you whats wrong with brakes, they are over rated
i effed up last night and started looking for f350's and found 2 that were in pretty great stock shape with no/barely any rust and 460/5spd.s in the $3kish range and one for $2250 w/351 and a little more rust. gotta see how much moniez the wife will let me spend.
