Know what I hate?
"Friends" who bring me blown up engines or vehicles with blown up engines and then bitch when I tell them how much the parts and machine work is going to cost to get the thing put back together which results in said engine sitting in my shop/yard for months on end until they decide to spend the money. The fubar part is regardless what happens I know I wont get paid for pulling the engine and tearing it down not to mention the time I spent making phone calls to various people to get the parts/machine work/short block/long block quotes
On the legal side of things how long does something have to be in your yard before you can load it up and take it to the scrapper?

btw
I need a 258 I6 for a heep and a 360/390 FE for a 76 F150 in good running condition and damn near free.

I know the feeling.....
Not sure about SC, but in VA if the vehicle is left for 30 days, you have to notify the titled owner via certified mail to come retrieve the vehicle and the cost of any storage fees must be paid prior to that retrieval or they must surrender the title. After that, you can go get a salvage/abandoned vehicle title and do what you want.
Btw, you missed a good dinner with much alcohol flowing for desert. Hope your bar tab makes up for it....
The damn waiter made me pay my tab at $168.something. Just to show him whos boss I ran up an additional $50 and staggered my way to the door. I guess he thought $210ish was too much to handle at once.
Damn I was drunk.
on a second hate, i didn't realize till yesterday that the bronc is full of straight water, so there is a high possibility that it is frozen solid. i just hope the block isn't cracked.
on a third hate, my daughter has some new deal with stripping down to her birthday suit and running around neked like a tard. daddy is not amused.
when you put your truck in to a well known business that has been around for 65 years to put front springs in it because you don't have the time to do it yourself.
3 days later you get the truck back, $125 over the quoted price.
and there is a funny smell in the cab like they were welding in the shop, and left the windows open.
then the batteries will not hold a charge, and you stop at the local alternator shop that just custom built you a brand new 200 amp alternator that has been in the truck for less that 120 miles, and your friend in the shop pops the hood to test the charging system and starts to cry.
the SOB's in the spring shop did something very wrong, and set the alternator on fire, then put it out with a dry chemical extinguisher, and never told me!. the least they could have done was say"we messed up and somehow caught your truck on fire"
i could accept that. but no, they just closed the hood and said nothing.
that brand new custom built $285 alternator is melted, and full of dry chem powder.

7 am tomorrow the 75 year old current owner is going to get a piece of my mind.
i have known him for over 35 years, and he also knows i am very well known in the industry, and ticking me off will be an automatic knife in his back if i make a few phone calls to others in the trucking industry.
I hate it when u take a truck in for a service,(oil change and such) and the next day the heat hardly works. Come to find the radiator is only half full
Also hate how you can't drain a water separator on a truck that's outside 24/7. Dam cold frozen separator.
