check your coil output too. everbody knows them there cummings dizzles won't start unless the coils are puttin out at least 100,000 volts to the sparkler plugs.

From what I hear valve covers will blow completely off an engine if you do that...

nope. a canooter valve is only found on 2 stroke detroit deezles.
the canooter valve is there to shut the intake butterfly in case of a run away condition.
the cummings engines use a fuel shutoff valve in the injercter pump.

That can't be true.......


My old 68 Bronco would require a 30 second spray into the carb for it to start on cold days without a jump start.....

30 second shots of starting fluid???? holy shyte i've had some pretty hairy kabooms from 8-10 second shots. 30 sounds like you'd have a ka-boom of epic proportions on your hands.

Below 0 weather, a ****ty battery, and a carbed 302 with no choke don't get along well.

I guess it helps that I just sprayed it on the open element filter and not down the carb...

I personally think it's the reciprocating dingle-arm...that's why the combobulator on my car stopped working.
