Rob ive been reading on cumminsforum that i need to pack the oilpump with petrol jelly to create the suction needed to pull oil into a completely dry system. Is that stuff really gonna break down into the Rotella?

The petroleum melts down at a fairly low temperature, and it just floats till the next change.
That was an old Buick trick that dates to when they built the 215 cu in V8.
I hate people who drive 10 mph slower than the posted limit in road constuction at 2:30 in the morning!!!!
I think we all do.
I also hate the ones who drive ten under on the highway, (55mph) so you have to take a risk to pass them. Then when you go through the small towns with low speed limits, here they go right past you again, still going 55mph. Grrrrr!
I disagree Tom. For pure reliability and simplicity the 12v cummins is hard to beat. Ford has nothing that can touch it.
i have had the misfortune to drive many many 5.9 cummins powered vehicles, and can safely say, even the 6.6 brazilian ford with 200,000 miles on it has had more pulling power, and off the line power than any of those 5.9's. and 4 of them had less than 5,000 miles on them.
we had one in a dodge 3500 9 foot utility body truck, that was regularly out-pulled at traffic lights by 80,000 triaxle dump trucks, while the dodge was empty. it was back to the dealer 3 times, and they said that is it, there is no more power to be had out of it.
we also had one in a F750 with a 5 speed trans and a two speed rear.
with 2000 gallons of tack oil in the tank, it would not go any faster than 50 mph. and it took forever to get to 50. it was quicker for me to load it on the lowboy to move it from job to job than it was to have someone drive it.
the 3126 cat on the other hand is a very good medium truck engine.

yes. it will melt down be diluted and absorbed by the oil..
Yep it is, it sits in the yard all but 3-4 weekends a year. Plus no where to use it anymore its way too heavy to run in mud drags. So I figured I'd sell it and get something I can use more, like some ATVs. Plus, I can haul ATVs at the same time as my Camper, making going out on trips easier and cheaper.
Joe wants to buy it, but the 2000-2500$ in shipping costs made him say no.
