they still make trucks with manual 4X4, but most people are to lazy to get out and lock the hubs, so we have ESOF and all the problems that go with it.

Would that info be available during ordering a truck?.
I donʻt see this information at the Ford website.
I plan to buy a new truck in a couple of years(I hope they will still be
available).
The last new truck I bought with manual everything was a special ordered 1991
no manual trans offered after last year or this year.
with the auto trans only, the computer is able to meet EPA standards.
the claim is with the manual trans, the computer can not meet emissions standards because the trans is not shifted at the same rpm's all the time.

I have a manual t-case and locking hubs in my 04 SD. I had to special order it because there were no '04 250 Lariats in the southeast fitted that way on dealership lots. Since it was an order i tried to get rubber floor mats to go with the leather seats but no luck. 3 weeks later i had red fruity fru fru drink stains on my passenger floorboard carpet. - sorry for the extra info but after 8 years Im still bitter
In other news I hated the zf6 trannys but i wasnt aware Ford no longer offered a manual in their 450/550s
Since the torque shift came out there really isn't much advantage to a manual trans anymore anyway. Especially the 6spd tqshift.. you can lock out gears, have it hold the gear you want, down shift easily, and they last just as long as the manual trans do now, and hold a lot more power.
Our 99 and 00 lariats are manual shift tcase, along with an 02 xl manual shift tcase, while the 01 XLT is ESOF, and the '11 XL is ESOF. the 95 and 96 are both XLs and both manual tcases. <- all of them being F350s

I forgot about locking out/in gears with the new transmissions.
Just hope manual TCs and hubs stick around.
None of my trucks have a manual TC at this time, kinda a ghey, but
I'll switch teams as soon as possible, no problems with the electric stuff
