Mine is froze up, I have tried squirting some PB Blaster in cable housing hoping that would do it...no luck. What does this cable hook to? It appears the dash must come off to get to it...would this be correct?
Thanks for any help on this.
No need to disassemble the dash, just pull your glove box off to access one end of it (where it attaches to the blend door), then you pull the trim around the control panel wuth all the levers on it and there are four bolts that hold the panel assembly in place - remove bolts, pull panel, disconnect cable from it, fish cable out from either that hole or behind the glove box.

I got the glove box off and the trim/controls unbolted. You can access the end of the cable from the opening behind the glovebox? I looked/felt back in there, but must have missed it.
Yes, the end of the cable is right on top of the heater core plenum. Grab a flashlight and follow the cable, you'll see the little clamp that holds the end of its sheathing to the plenum, the cable itself simply unhooks from the blend door's arm IIRC.
If you are trying to reach up under the dash with the glovebox in place, I doubt you will reach it. If you take the glovebox out you should see it right on top of the heater duct box.
Thanks for the help everyone, cant believe I over looked it. IT was right in front of the whole time. Anyways, got the cable lubed up and working now. 1 step closer to having A/C.
