2003 Escape Shifter Cable Adjuster
How do you get the cable out from the shifter cable adjuster. The plastic piece broke off the end of the cable attached to the transmission shifter, and to work on it, I need to get it out of the adjuster. I can loosen the cable, but I need to remove it. Any clue would be appreciated.

OK..I figured out the adjuster comes with the cable, so my real question is: The adjuster part is secured to a bracket, so how do I get this round gizmo out of the bracket so I can work on the end of the cable?
