GGGRRRR stupid walbro fuel pump!

well for any of you who have or want to do the electric fuel conversion I suggest you just go ahead and get the SD pump instead of using the walbro pump, I have had mine in for over a year and everything has been fine until yesterday, I started losing pressure while pulling, it would catch up while idling but would drop off again while driving, after changing filters, by passing filters, various pressure checks, a broken pressure gauge, and various other issues I finally nailed down that the pump was failing, and pulling alot of amperage just before it crapped out so I have a nice new SD pump installed, and I had to back down my regulator because the SD pump was moving more fuel than the retarded walbro pump was. and of course this all happened while I was trying to pull a tractor home, hopefully all is well now, but yesterday was a major pain, sorry for the rant, I just hate it when something fails prematurely and costs me $$

Good to know. Electric fuel is near the top of my to-do list.

Will a SD pump fit a 95 without modifying it?

hahaha cheif.

You gotta change almost the whole system to use an SD pump,
our trucks have mechanical fuel pumps.

The SD pump does good up till big stage 3's.

But it will work on a 97?? Or did 97-psd change everything out to make it work?? I know what my truck has and I have read the electric conversions, that is why i am confused about what 97-psd said.

He changed everything out to elec fuel. It won't work on yours without completely changing to electric fuel setup.

Thank you 427 fordman for clearing that up. Not in my budget right, hopefully later after some other upgrades.
