HPOP help please

I was driving down the road today pulling my work trailer as usuall. Had the radio up and did not even hear the motor stutter but noticed the service engine light flicker a couple of times right before it just quit on me. Rolled over to the shoulder and tried to crank it. It just cranked and cranked with nothing. I remembered something about a cam positioning sensor so I gought one of those and switched it out. Still nothing. Had it towed to the stealership and they say that my HPOP is out. 0 pressure and they blocked off something on both heads and soemthing else I dont know.
I replaced the HPOP a few years ago because of the non servicable port leaking oil. Now I guess it is servicable (whish I would have known that then.) Anyway I did that myself so I am ready to do it again. I just wanted to make sure this sounded right and if it does where is the best place to buy an HPOP. I loacated one here for $700 + tax at another stealership of course.
I have put so much money in this truck this year that I can not afford not to fix it at this point. I should be close to $10k after this fix just this year alone.
thanks for any and all suggestions
Joe

PM Clay at RiffRaff, he's got you covered...removing and replacing shouldn't be as hard as replacing the o-rings on that non-serviceable plug...

back on topic, I'm not sure of the diagnosis. Maybe someone can chime in and help out with some more insight on HPOP's. Not sure if I've read about the just up and quitting.

right on that is the first thing I thought of today, but I looked on his web page via my Driod and the only one he had a price for was like $2k the other one said $0 so I thought it my be out of stock.
and no I mean I did replace the entire HPOP a few years back cause I was told there is nothing to service the plug. So I am thinking it will all come back to me once I tear into it.
guess I will just have to give clay a call in the morning I meant to today but got busy trying to make the money to pay for this damn truck again. $2k tranny $5k injectors plugs starter IDM exhaust batteries and who knows what else, $1300 rear end, $??? water pump I know I am leaving something out all this year

That is what I was thinking I had never heard of one quitting all at once like that, but that does not mean anything cause I know next to nothing about it. I would just hate to replace it and that not be it. If it is good I will get it done and get back to work. Selfemployed does not pay well when you are not working for some reason.
thanks all
Joe

I'm thinking maybe your IPR is bad. Check the tin nut on it or pull it and see if there is oil on it. That would cause a no-start condition.

Have you checked your IPR. That will also stop oil pressure and its about $100 You can check this with a AE if you hook it up and crank the motor you should get some kind of reading. It takes about 500 psi for our engines to fire up.

Chris beat me to it but we are looking in the same area.

Would that cause a no pressure reading at the HPOP like the stealership was saying??

I did buy a sensor before I sent it in for the injector fix I have it setting right here I was thinking it was an IPR. but not positive part # F6TZ-9F838A
