*N803022*S40
*N803020*S40
*N803023*S40
and the nut part number is
*N620483*S437
you will need 2 of each bolt, and 6 nuts.
these are special bolts that hardware stores or parts stores do not carry.. you need to pay attention to where they come out of so you can put them back in the proper place.
do your wallet a favor and just use some carriage bolts. I went through this awhile back and the cost of using the factory bolts was through the roof. Certain year fords had special bed mounting bolts that had a special chamfered area under the head to prevent the bolt from spinning while it was being tightened. I don't recall what years that was but new that my 88 f250 fell into those years.
87 to 97 use special bolts, the part numbers is posted. carriage bolts WILL NOT WORK.
That's funny. they worked just fine for me.If you have trouble keeping the bolt from spinning you can use a die grinder and put a slot in the head for a large screwdriver and grab a buddy to hold the top while you tighten the bolt from below.
the bed bolts have an oval shaft that goes into the hole in the bed to secure it to the frame. carriage bolts have a small square spot under the flat head, and will not hold the bed properly.
here is a picture of the bed bolts. i don't have any 12 mm carriage bolts laying around, but you can see by these pics, they don't look anything like carriage bolts.
Real funny cause like fordyduty carriage bolts worked just fine for me didn't even need anyone to hold it so it wouldn't spin. 2 years later they still holding strong aint even have to re-tighten em (checked em but they didn't need it)
