Resolved: IDM was the problem
Well, bought it and pick it up tomorrow AM, how's that for working out nicely?
7.3L Powerstroke Injector Drive Module IDM: eBay Motors (item 200515348161 end time Sep-03-10 20:45:37 PDT)
Oh yeah and he told me he got it out of a crashed truck that he has there with a whole drive train and more. Will see it tomorrow and report.

Great to hear you're up and running. I'd guess you saved at least $750 by not stopping in at your friendly dealer mechanic.
The reason he asked if it ran better than before is the new 120 IDM. The higher voltage should make the injectors respond just a fraction of a second faster when you hit the skinny pedal than it did before.

Was being very nice to it today (gunshy LOL) tomorrow will be another story and will report back on any noticeable improvement in performance and such.
