Its Impossible to happen. Someone was inside the trans.
The ***** can only fall out if someone removes the vb from the core.

Locations and size of ***** has to do with a combo of parts used.
1- Case Code (E9,FO,F8)
2- Plate ID
E9 Case = 89 has hole 90 no hole
FO Case = 90 has hole, 89 no hole
FO Case = 96 has slot
F8 Case = No slot "M" This is a 4R100 case.
3- gasket ID (matached to same case id)
4- VB Code (E9,FO,F6)
5- Acc body (E9,F6)
If its a all orig 97 it should be
1= FO
2= plate with slot
3= has slot
4= F6
5= F6
Calls for 8-5/16 checkballs
They show the location of the check ***** in the main valve body. My internet at home is way too slow to watch a video right now, and I don't remember if the video covers the check ***** (it leaves a lot of stuff out, including the messy, always dripping ATF that you have to fight) Install Assistance Videos
Click on the E40D / 4R100 video and hope they show that part.
thanks f350-6 that helped alot but i also found out you can go to transgo and find out everything about this trans and how to fix all the problems its got
