Thanks For the info.I will check out that brand of oil filter.I have been running Motor craft oil filters.I just swith over to micro gaurd. They have the same spec. as motor craft. The last set of fuel filters i used was fram. They have been in about 15k.What problems have been relatied to useing fram oil filters?
Don't let the specs convince you to use aftermarket. There is more to it than the "off brand" companies will share.
Fuel filters - pluging, collapse, and then bypassing. Low fuel pressure ruins injectors and so does water getting to them
Oil filters - dimensions wrong and causes filter drain valve to be open, insufficient heat resistance, plugging and then deforming. Some aftermarket brands sell an adapter plate as well. This plate can break and get particles in your oil. Some aftermarket filters come w/ their own filter cap. Many quick oil change places have thrown away the OEM cap when they install the cheap aftermarket.
There are videos out on the problems. Not worth the risk at all!
I am finaly getting back to the problem i had of my 6.0 running ruff.It finely quit running. It was the Fuel injection control module (FICM) looking on the net for a one.The dealer tryed to lay me away.($799.00)..And 2 hrs labor.I have now found one for $531.25.I will install.Does any one know of oem part #4C3Z12B599ABRM.For less money?
I was told when i bought the FICM that is was programed.Wrong.Come to find out that it has to be in the truck to be programed.I talked to the dealer here. They will install and program for $92.00.I can not program it so i will have to let them do it.

Thats why I asked. Several places will program the FICM for you
PowerHungryPerformance
InnovativeDiesel
SWAMPS might also - they repair and sell repaired FICMs
Depending on what is wrong w/ your FICM, you can get the "half shell" repair (and that is cheaper)
Partsguyed, TousleyFordParts, and SunriseFord all have discounted prices, some are lower than what you paid, but not by a whole lot.
It has been some time since i have posted.I got my truck fixed. It was the FICM.It was only puting out 24volts.It needs to put out 48volts.I chose to take it out and send CIRCUIT BOARD MEDICS.(just google that name)They charged me $325.00.I sent it Fedex 2day.I also had a return lable so circuit board did not have charge me more to send back. They fixed in 1day and had it back to me in 2days.They even have a video how to take out.The owers name is ED.He is the one i talked to,and fixed my FICM.I highly give CIRCUIT BOARD MEDICS a 10 from 1 to 10.When i got it back all i had to do is install.Ran great.
They went though it repaired it.Buy doing it this way the FICM dose not have to be reflashed or reprogramed.(that has to be done at the dealer ship). That will save you money. After i got that fixed.I found out that i had a injector not working. So i had 2 things wrong with my truck.I hope this helped..
