I was on the way home from my vacation and everything was running great then I went over a train track pretty bumpy then all of sudden the truck started running rough at idle and at all times it does run better if the rpm stay over 2000 but when shifts in overdrive and Rpms drop the truck starts running real rough I have checked the FICM voltage and it is good also it doesn't smoke just slugish and runs rough
Something got knocked loose...like a connector for the MAF. It should have showed up on the SG2 at any rate. I know it sounds like a pain, but have you checked all the connectors on the engine?
Poorboy most likely the scangauge is not going to pull the codes without a light on . Last year i had a injector go out and was dead, truck started great so who knows . But when it first started missing there were no codes then to days later i got one for #1 injector .
Ok this morning before I started the truck I went through and checked all the connectors didn't fine any really lose but then I started the truck and it is running fine I have drove it about 30 miles today and so far it's been fine so I don't know if I have an intermittent problem or I just had a loose connector some where

Are you sure about that? I thought a SG2 will pull any store codes? Contribution/balance codes would be something that gets stored for a period of time...and they almost never set off the CEL on the '03-'04 trucks.

Well i know mine will not unless theres a light , and theres never a light . I use my hypertec programer and it works great for codes .
You might want to look for wire chaffing on the harness. There's a good thread in the tech fold about the usual spots to look.
There is one spot i forgot about . The air intake between the filter and turbo where the ccv goes in rubs against the injector harness going to #1 injector .It will rub thought if not fixed . If you have a CCV reroute then you are good because the tube has been cut out .
