Is there a switch located on the door or door jam that controls the interior lights and the ignition switch.
Mine is sticking right now. Door will be closed and the open door light will be lit on the dash for a few minutes then go away. Closd door and it will beep while key in.

The switch is built into the latch mechanism. Try spraying it with WD-40 and open/close it couple times. That usually frees up the switch inside
