Stacks with Muffler and Cat?

I just wanted to make it legal for state inspection. I guess I can just put the muffler and cat back on when inspection comes up. I have a welder but unfortunately I don't have a pipe bender.

No way! There is just not enough room under the cab. I've also got a regular cab long bed and even with a short (20 inch) muffler and no cat I still had to shorten the downpipe to get it all short enough so the 90* would go up through the front of the bed

Take the muffler cut the ends off it cut equal amounts off each end then re-weld the ends back on. The reason for it equally on each side is so that the factory "logo" stays centered on the muffler and retains a factory appearance. I did this with a MBRP muffler some time ago.

Why keep the stock muffler? Get a shorter aftermarket one. It will flow better anyway. Also,
clamp the cat in so you can remove it after you've passed inspection. I run a 3" downpipe to a 4" straight pipe out in front of the rear tire and it sounds great.

I have to have a muffler in NC for inspection, so I bought a glasspack from summit racing. It's 4" diameter and only 8" long. $30
I'm running the 3" downpipe, then 4" pipe straight back to the glasspack and then a 90* out the side in front of the rear wheel.

Thanks! I was wondering where I could get a glasspack that was bigger than 3". That would be perfect and i should be able to run it directly after the stock gutted cat so I won't have to mess with taking 2 different exhausts on and off for inspection.

Glad I could help. The glasspack doesn't really change the sound at all, sounds like it's straight-piped, but it passes inspection.
Just do a search under Cherry Bomb for glasspacks. They have 3.5" and 4", and in lengths as short as 8" like mine or longer.
