Is there anyone that has stacks with internal muflers and still running the stock cat? I really want to put stacks on the truck, but do not want to hear the noise. Suggestions?
I am currently looking at the grand Rock 5" turnout stack kit with internal mufflers. I would run the stock cat. There is no room to put an additional stock muffler between the cat pipe and the 90 degree pipe into the bed.
Grand Rock can make stock mufflers but there seems to be a lot of hesitation in building one. Thanks Glenn
I had stacks on a 95 F250 reg. cab with the 7.3 and it had a nice sound but annoying at times. On my 05 w/6.0 first I Y'ed behind the converter and duals out the rear of tires and was not much louder than factory. Now its all strait, and it rumbles good under mid to high RPMs but not that loud. If you run stacks, no mufflers and keep the cat on I dont think it will be that loud. Also depends what cab you have. I dont know of any that left cats or mufflers on with stacks. Just my 2 cents.

I have the extended cab, will run the cat, and internal mufflers in the stacks.
